Powder Valley Poodles occasionally offers housebroken, trained puppies and fully trained young dogs. These are dogs that we have chosen to be especially calm, sensitive and willing. They make great additions to a family when a dignified, fully trained young dog is desired over a rambunctious puppy. These dogs are not robots, so a willingness to continue with training (Three private lessons or a standard 6 week long dog training class) is recommended in order to fully realize your new pet's training and abilities. To reserve your started puppy or trained dog you must first do a phone interview with Terry. A deposit of $500 is required to reserve a started puppy or trained dog. Started Standard Poodle Puppy A Trained Standard Poodle Cost of these started and trained dogs is determined by the initial cost of the dog or puppy plus the cost of training. The average started puppy will cost between $1500 and $2000. The average cost of a trained young dog is $2500. Show quality and breeding-quality dogs will be more. Our Started Puppies and trained young standard poodles will come to your family with no vices, no bad habits, and well on their way to being exemplary canine citizens. They will be acclimated to all types of animals, children, noises and situations and ready to fill your home with joy, love, life and pride.
Jo Jo:
Powder Valley's Jo Jo (Tango's Haus Powder Valley Cuppa Jo Jo) Jo Jo is available as a pet to an approved foster home in Loveland or Fort Collins, Windsor, Wellington, or surrounding areas. Jo Jo is one of our stud dogs. He weighs 4 pounds and is a tiny red toy poodle who just wants a loving family or individual to call his own. We can't keep Jo Jo here as we have 4 females living with us and they are breeding dogs and not spayed. Living here would mean Jo Jo would have to spend most of his time in a kennel which would be unfair to him. Jo Jo's original foster home was not diligent when it came to housebreaking him. Because of this he has to wear a wrap made for boy dogs who are not housebroken. It's not too bad, but it is less convenient than having a housebroken dog. Jo Jo get's along great with cats and other dogs but because of his very tiny size can not go to a home with dogs medium sized and bigger. Jo Jo's foster home must be willing to care for Jo Jo and bring him to our ranch for occasional visits with his "wives". We would take care of Jo Jo's veterinary bills other than routine shots and worming. His foster home would also pay for his food and grooming requirements. Jo Jo is very loving and greatly enjoys laps. He would make an excellent companion for a retired individual or couple. If you think you would make a good foster home for Jo Jo please call Terry at 970-568-7585.
