Pixie

Pixie, (Tango’s Haus Rocky Mt Pixiechic) is an AKC registered Miniature Poodle. She is parti-apricot in color (apricot and white) and weighs 16 pounds. Pixie is an athletic, balanced, structurally correct and very intelligent poodle. She retains all of her good hunting instincts inherited from her larger ancestors while maintaining the dignity and affectionate nature of the companion side of her heritage. In other words, she’s just as good at hunting rabbits as she is sprawling on your lap to watch TV. Either is fine with her and she’s very good at both.

Pixie is quiet, only barking when there is something to actually bark at. This is unusual for a poodle and I am very grateful that she isn’t noisy like some perfectly good poodles can be. Pixie loves everyone she meets and can’t wait to jump into someone’s lap and tell them all about her day. She is an excellent mother and her babies tend to inherit her good nature and love for people.

Breeze

Breeze (Rocky Mt Twasa Breeze) is Pixie and Benny’s daughter. She is an AKC Toy Poodle. Breeze is red and weighs 8.5 pounds. Breezey is a Mama’s girl. Wherever I am, there is Breeze. If I’m outside gardening, she’s gardening too. If I’m at my desk, she’s right next to it. Reading a book, she’s in my lap. Whereas her mother, Pixie, is a little more independent, Breeze wants to be wherever I am. Not demanding and obnoxious, just right there, quietly by my side.

Annie

Annie is a petite, structurally correct, very feminine AKC registered Miniature Poodle. She weight 11 poinds. She is a daughter of Pixie and Pepe and brings out the best in both of her parents. Annie is very sweet and just a little bit prissy. Whereas her mother and sister, Breeze, are very much tomboys, Annie prefers the city life to the ranch and a lap to chasing rabbits.
Annie is very structurally correct and very much the epitome of a feminine Miniature Poodle. Combining her genetics with Rowdy's has created beautiful, very correct and sensitive and responsive Miniature Poodles.

Diva

Diva (Powder Valley's Of Course She's A Diva)
Diva is a beautiful, aristocratic, AKC black standard poodle. She stands 25 inches at the shoulder and moves effortlessly and fluidly. She has cleared her first genetic tests with ease, either by parentage or with radiographs. Diva combines grace with athleticism and will produce offspring that will be well put together, both physically and mentally. They will be able to work hard, play hard, and compete hard. Diva is protective of her home and family without being aggressive or noisy. She loves people, especially children, and is very tolerant of the ways of toddlers. She checks in on the baby lambs in the sheep pen daily, nosing them gently, and licking their faces clean. She is obedient without having had formalized training to be such. She is a great dog, a great example of a standard poodle, and a wonderful addition to our breeding program.

BOYS

Pepe

Pepe is a 5.5 pound AKC registered Toy Poodle. He is affectionate, correct, and balanced. He is a very good example of a Toy Poodle. Pepe is a chocolate. He is a bit of a Mama’s boy as you can see pictured above right. Where Velina, his owner, is, Pepe is.  The combination of Pepe and Pixie and Pepe and Breeze has given us some very nice puppies, both in conformation, color, and personality. Pepe looks very cavalier in the various poodle clips depicted in these photos.

Rowdy

Rowdy is an outstandingly beautiful AKC miniature poodle. He is black and white parti-color, and when crossed with Pixie he has produced some beautiful puppies. Puppies from Pixie and Rowdy have included black and white parti-color, sable, black with brindle, true black, apricot, and apricot and white.Their pups are conformationally correct and have incredible temperaments. The two of them produce very nice family dogs, obedience competition prospects and therapy dog prospects.

Alex (Alexandrite The Greatest Donna's Gems)

Alex is an AKC registered silver standard poodle. He was born in 2004 and stands about 24 inches at the shoulder. Donna Linson of Elbert, Colorado owns Alex but we have permission to feature him on our web site as he is the sire to Diva's puppies. Alex is a gentle, sweet-natured soul who produces beautiful, typey, calm and laid-back puppies. A great combination of color, personality and temperament to add to Diva's genetics! Alex has passed all genetic tests, his hips are OFA'd as "Good", his elbows as "Normal" and is cleared through CERF on his eyes and DNA analysis for Von Willibrand's Disease. He is healthy, beautiful in body and spirit and passes his excellent type, color, and attitude to his offspring. We are proud to have Alex in our line up. Jo Jo (Tango's Haus Powder Valley Cuppa Jo Jo)

Jo Jo is the red toy poodle we've been looking for to add to our breeding program. We found him in Texas and so far he has passed his tests and is looking to be absolutely fantastic in every way. His conformation and temperament are wonderful, his color outstanding. I am so happy to have Jo Jo as part of Powder Valley Poodles! We will be adding him to our breeding program in the fall! Watch for little red toy poodle puppies to be born from Jo Jo and Breezy in November of 2011. They will be small, cute, correct and sweet, sweet, sweet!
