A handsome Ripley, just brushed by his student trainer. Ripley has been sold.
Our horses are either purchased at auction or donated to our horse training program. They are good quality, many of them purebred and registered, and are sound of mind and body. Potential buyers of our horses need to be aware that although the horses are well started in Western riding, have very good ground manners and no dangerous vices -- they are not for beginners. These youngsters and started horses are too inexperienced for beginning horse enthusiasts. Although very inexpensive and friendly they all need to go to homes experienced in finishing youngsters. The untrained horses are:
King Tut has been Adopted. King has been bounced around a few times from a couple of rescues and is very mistrustful of people. I love Arabs and have always wanted one but most are too small for me. Until now. We'll see how this guy comes around. We'll keep you posted!
Rev is a strikingly beautiful, registered TWH. His gaits are not the sought after smooth- as- silk gaits of many TWHs but he does have a nice, big, stride and a fast walk when you ask for it. This horse is no speed demon. He won't win any races. ANYONE old enough to sit on a horse can ride this guy but for one problem -- Rev does not like other horses in his space.
20 years is nothing for an Arabian and Rio definitely took after his Arab side as far as his age goes. There are Arabs still competing well into their twenties and he's got the same spirit as they do. Rio, even at 20, is still not a little kid's or rank beginner’s horse. He's got a little too much go. Rio is a been there -- done that English horse who has lost some of his training along the way to inconsistent handling. We're going to tune him up and get him so that anybody can ride him and then find him a great home. Shouldn't take long. I know the discipline and training is still in there we just have to dig it out a little.
Beautiful, athletic, nimble and loves people. This is a kid-sized mare who will be able to turn a barrel, lance a key hole or cut a steer. Once we got some good nutritious food in this little horse and started training her, we found out we had a potential gymkhana horse! Piper is no slouch and with the right training will go on to be anything you want her to be, trail horse, western pleasure, barrel horse, whatever. She has the athletic abiliy to do whatever you want, as long as it doesn't involve jumping high fences! Tall she is not. We've started Piper under saddle and as her training progresses, so will her price. She is now for sale so come and get her!
Ripley has been Adopted. He will soon be moving to his Coming two-year-old grade quarter horse gelding. Seal brown. Will be a big, stocky, good-looking horse. Loves people, assertive with other horses, he may be someone's big trail partner or competitive cow horse. Ripley is too young to train to ride but can be schooled in everything else. Ripley should mature in the 14.3 - 15.1 hh range and be very stout.
Justice has been Adopted. APHA registered black tobiano gelding. This flashy black and white paint gelding is coming five years old. He's never been trained to ride but he does lead very nicely and loves people. He isn't going to be a fast horse, but he is a very pretty one whose calm, laid back attitude will go over very well as a trail or western pleasure horse. Should mature in the 15.0 to 15.1 hh range (already 15 hh).
Artuur and Raabu have been Adopted. Artuur and his half brother Raabu are purebred Arabians most likely of European bloodlines. They are not small, dainty horses. Although 4 years old, they are still growing and already are as tall or taller than the stock horses they live with. These youngsters had been neglected in the past and may take another couple of years to gain their full potential in growth. For the past year they have been living at a horse rescue facility. Here they gained the weight they needed after having been starved. They have been handled a little bit but have had very little training. They are typical Arabs in every way other than size. They are gorgeous movers and very athletic. Here are our speed event prospects. These two will need more hands on training as they haven't been handled as much as the other youngsters in the program. They like people though so I'm not worried about how they will get along. They'll be fine. Just don't expect a trustworthy trail horse after only three months of training. Thse two are already over 14 hh with Raabu pushing 14.2. They should continue to grow for at least another year, maybe two. It wouldn't surprise me if Artuur went to 14.3 or 15 hh and Raabu topped 15 hh.
Zeus has been Adopted. This sooty buckskin gelding is big-boned, registered breeding stock Paint. He'll be four years-old in the spring and ready to go catch cows after training. A very handsome horse, Zeus is still working on the concept of what people are all about. He's not a pocket pony nor does he really respond much to people. He's most likely to be one of those horses that wants to do his job, be taken care of, fed well, watered, and then left alone. We'll see. Maybe he just hasn't met the right person yet. Should go to 15 hh and very stocky.
Bugs has been Adopted. "Bugs" as we call him, is a big, solid, beautiful trail and arena horse. Not yet suitable for beginners only because he has fewer miles on him than the average 9 year-old horse. Bugs has spent most of his life being a big pet. This has changed and it's time for him to start working for a living. Haley
This is one good looking filly! I'm having fun training her. Haley is a hot-rod on four legs. Fast, quick and attitudinal!
This almost 7 year-old mare is strikingly beautiful. She very well could be halter quality. She is stout, regal, and moves effortlessly. However, Lily has had some mishandling in the past and it is reflective of her current mistrust and fear of people. If you are interested in purchasing any of these horses, please contact Terry for an interview, by E-mail or phone. |
